“HOME” OPENS JULY 23

AT PEMBROKE 4 ART GALLERY

VIRGINIA BEACH – Some say inspiration starts at home, whatever “home” means to the artist. The new exhibition and sale “HOME” explores the many meanings of the word at the PEMBROKE 4 ART GALLERY in Virginia Beach. Is it a collection of familiar objects, a house, a region, a nation or simply a feeling that permeates the artwork? Come see if the artists have captured what home means to you.
A gala reception from 7:00-9:00 pm, Friday, July 23rd  – free and open to the
public – will launch the exhibition with the artists in attendance. Guest artists include 
Kermit Beverly, Terry Brunner, Pat DeHart, Mike Dennis, Jane Fuqua, Mary Kay Holladay, Dot Hudgins, Nancy Lucks, Kathy Staicer, and Eileen Stouter. The exhibit will be juried by Corinne Lilyard-Mitchell.
Managing artists at the Pembroke 4 Art Gallery include Elizabeth Waitekus, Kay Dotson, Sandra Starkey, Nancy Topping Bazin and William Campbell, who will also participate in the exhibition. Kay Dotson has donated a painting to be raffled off, with the proceeds to benefit the gallery and the Southeastern Virginia Food Bank.
The Pembroke 4 Gallery is located on the ground floor of the Pembroke 4 Office Building, Suite 128, 291 Independence Boulevard, just west of Pembroke Mall. Parking is free and the gallery is open 8-1 and 2-5 Monday-Friday. “HOME” will be on view through October 15TH, 2010.
